Omar Bilbeisi studied art in 1993 at the
Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1995, he took the
position of Assistant Director at Darat-Al-Funun in Jordan. In 1999, he
was invited to participate in the Jordanian Pavilion at the EXPO 2000 in
Hanover, Germany. He helped set up the Dar El Fan Museum and the Museum
of Traditional Life in Amman.
He held his first solo exhibition at The Orient Gallery in Amman in
1998. His second solo exhibition was held in 2004 at Zara Gallery
entitled “Harf” in Amman. He also participated in several group
exhibitions including 4Walls entitled "A Celebration of Jordanian
Contemporary Art", T Canvas entitled "Art of Life" and Zara Gallery in
Amman. Today his works are curated in France, Spain, Egypt, Japan,
Monaco, the United Kingdom, the United States and Jordan. Omar Bilbeisi
lives and works in Amman dedicating most of his time to painting and
other art related activities.
